JOHN BARRETT, namesake of Barrett’s Grill in Hunt Valley, obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Hotel Motel Restaurant Management in the spring of 1991 from Shepherd College, West Virginia. John is presently a very hands-on owner of the Stonebridge Restaurant Group which owns Barrett’s Grill at the Hunt Valley Towne Center in Hunt Valley, Maryland; Glyndon Grill in Glyndon, Maryland; and ACE Catering and Events, newly established in 2016.
John currently resides in Phoenix, Maryland, with his wife, Morgan, and their three children ---John “JP", Colin and Reagan.
MIKE SIPES began his career in the restaurant business in 1976 with CWG (Coulter, Wagnon, Geist) Enterprises Pizza Huts. Literally starting on the ground floor as a cook, he was promoted to an Assistant Manager within two weeks and a General Manger within two months. This hands-on beginning gives Mike a true operator’s perspective and a “frontline, customer-first” mentality toward the restaurant business.
Since 2011 Mike has been a very hands-on owner of the Stonebridge Restaurant Group which owns Barrett’s Grill at the Hunt Valley Towne Center in Hunt Valley, Maryland; Glyndon Grill in Glyndon, Maryland; and ACE Catering and Events, newly established in 2016. Mike was born and grew up in Statesville, North Carolina. He attended Asheville-Buncombe Technical College in North Carolina and later Clark College in Vancouver, WA where he majored in Business Administration. Mike currently resides in Finksburg, Maryland, with his wife, Sandy, and grandson, Caleb. Their five children reside in Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Georgia and North Carolina.
MORGAN BARRETT has a dual background in both restaurants and event management. After receiving an Art History Degree from George Mason University, Morgan decided to go in a completely different direction and move full time in to the restaurant arena where she met her husband, John. After the birth of their oldest child, JP, Morgan was lucky to be able to be a stay-at-home mom. It was then that Morgan discovered her love for the events business – not only did it provide a position that was exciting, but it also still afforded her the ability to stay home.
For the past ten years, Morgan has been involved in numerous events – from intimate 30 person events to large-scale events for 600 to golf tournaments and social events – and loved every minute of it. After the success of Stonebridge Restaurant Group’s first two restaurants, Barrett’s Grill and Glyndon Grill, due to the hard work of her husband, John, and his partner, Mike, it was time to join forces and start a catering and events business. Morgan is excited to bring her knowledge of food and the restaurant, along with years of event experience to their newest venture, ACE Catering and Events.
Morgan currently resides in Phoenix, Maryland, with husband, John; her boys, JP and Colin, and daughter, Reagan; and two youngest family members, Cookie and Lola (their family dogs).
Sales & Event Manager
KATIE DAVIS joins ACE Catering and Events with a more traditional corporate background. After receiving a Bachelors of Art Degree from the University of Virginia, Katie entered the realm of Property Management. After eight years of Property Management and scaling the corporate ladder, Katie decided to join forces with Stonebridge Restaurant Group and bring her corporate background to the restaurant world.
For the past eight years, Katie has been on the receiving end of corporate events and corporate catering. She is excited to bring her experience and knowledge about team meetings and corporate dining to your events. She understands how busy large teams and companies are and is looking forward to helping you and your team excel.
Katie currently resides in Cockeysville, Maryland, with husband, William, and her son, Blaize.
Brittani has been involved with Stonebridge Restaurant Group since 2011. She began as a hostess and quickly discovered the owners’ philosophy and future visions would only lead to great success. Through various roles at the restaurant, managerial positions and event coordinating, Brittani has learned the ins and out of not only how to run an effective team, but also a successful event. Brittani lives in Phoenix, Maryland.
